Workshop POLARYS 2014 (POLAriton blockade effects in RYdberg atoms and Semiconductor

Institut d’Optique in Palaiseau, France, from Tuesday December 2nd to Friday December 5th, 2014

The workshop will be devoted to excitation blockade mechanisms in Rydberg atomic ensembles and cavity excitonic polaritons.

It is designed as an opportunity for two communities of Rydberg atoms and Semiconductors to discuss on similar phenomena, though different in their physical implementations, and their potential applications. A specific emphasis of the meeting will be quantum non-linear optics, but other topics such as polaritonic quantum fluids will be included also.

There will be tutorials and invited talks (announced on the web site), as well as oral and poster presentations. Participants are strongly encouraged to submit a contribution, please indicate whether oral or poster is preferred.

There is no registration fee but registration is mandatory, and the attendance will be limited to 50-60 people.

The deadline for application is November 1st, 2014 and acceptance will be confirmed by email.
