The
 latest
 progress
 in
 the
 manipulation
 of
 atoms
 with
 light
 and
 fields
 lead
 to
 the
 creation
 of
 an
 atom
 laser,
 a
 coherent
 mater
 wave
 in
 which
 many
 atoms
 occupy
 a
 single
 quantum
 mode.
 Atom
 lasers
 are
 of
 fundamental
 interest
 in
 many
 fields,
 from
 fundamental
 studies
 to
 practical
 applications
such
as
atom
 interferometry
because
 of
 their
 sensitivity
to
 inertial
fields.

This
conference
will
 provide
 new
fundamental
 insights
and
 experimental
 realizations
 of
concepts
in
 atom
 optics
 and
atom
 lasers.
 It
 will
 cover
 the
 following
 topics
 :

  • Atom
 optics
 with
 coherent
 matter
 waves

  • Atom
 lasers
 production
 and
 properties

  • CW
 atom
 lasers
 ‐
 Quantum
 propagation
 properties
 of
 coherent
 atom
 beams

  • Atom
 lasers
 and
 integrated
 atom
 optics

  • Beyond
 atomic
 physics
 with
 coherent
 atomic
 beams

  • Precision
 measurement
 with
 atom
 laser
 sources.

It
 will
 be
 organized
 with
 8
 to
 10
 tutorial
 lectures
 of
 1h30
 (2
 each
 morning),
 followed
 by
 three
 to
 five
 half
 hour
 talks
 in
 the
 afternoon.
 There
 will
 be
 several
 invited
 half
 hour
 talks
 and
 a
 majority
 of
 contributed
 talks.

These
 contributions
 will
 be
 supplemented
 by
 a
 poster
 session
 allowing
 open
 discussion.
 In
 addition
 to
 the
 invited
 speakers
 (about
 1/3
 of
 the
 audience),
 this
 conference
 is
 intended
 for
 a
majority
of
 young
 scientists
and
 PhD
students
involved
in
 this
emerging
field.

Preliminary
list
 of
lecturers
and
 speakers

A
few
 seminar
 speakers
will
be
invited
 at
 a
 later
 stage

 http://www.irsamc.ups‐tlse.fr/Atom2010-

 before
 March
 1,
 2010.

The
